Craig Fitzhugh (born March 22, 1950) is an American politician from the state of Tennessee. He is a member of the Tennessee House of Representatives, representing the 82nd District. He is the minority leader of the Tennessee House. Fitzhugh is a member of the Democratic Party.

Biography

Fitzhugh is the CEO of the Bank of Ripley. In 2010, he was considered for the presidency of the University of Tennessee.[1]

Political career

Fitzhugh was elected to the Tennessee House in 1994, taking office in 1995. He has served in that position since, representing the 82nd District. Fitzhugh was elected by the Democratic caucus to serve as House Minority Leader in December 2010.[2]

Fitzhugh is considering a run for Governor of Tennessee in the 2014 gubernatorial election.[3]
