Pending changes reviewer

User:Dan Leonard

I've been editing wikipedia for over a decade (on and off, not continuously) and I mostly clean up minor vandalism. I'd like to be able to review pending changes in addition to cleaning up vandalism that's already in place.

I know what vandalism is and what it is not, and I am very familiar with the basic content policies, as I have watched their formation and refinement over the last decade and a half. Dan Leonard (talk) 21:23, 10 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I’m pretty active and do a lot of copy editing, reverting vandalism and unsuitable changes, etc. I want to help decrease the amount of pending edits in the backlog. I’ve read the guidelines and have a clear understanding of them. I feel I’m fit and responsible enough for this role. Thanks. Tumbuka Arch 08:13, 12 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I'm requesting this right because I sometimes come across unreviewed changes when reverting vandalism. NoNAja (talk) 22:54, 14 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have been an editor here for over 16 years. There have been situations with pending changes that have made me wish I could do something about them. I have an established record of regular Wikipedia contributions, and my record speaks for itself. I have often felt and said that "we can disagree without becoming disagreeable." That would be the yardstick whereby I would measure pending changes. I have been known to advocate for reliable sourcing, and have collaborated with a variety of editors on various projects. I feel like I could do more here, which is why I've been encouraged to request these permissions. Jgstokes (talk) 08:39, 16 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I've been editing for some time and I know what is and what is not allowed on Wikipedia. I also have a lot of time on my hands that can go towards helping project. This permission would be helpful in dealing with vandalism. Having this permission means I could fix pending edits, revert nonsense/vandalism pending edits and accept good edits. I've been an EnWP editor for more than 17 years (since 2006), and a permission such as this would be helpful in undoing bad or wrong edits, fixing abnormal edits, warn and/or guide newcomer users, addressing vandalism, etc. I have a good enough familiarity with WP policies and guidelines. Thank you for your attention. — Hamid Hassani (talk) 05:31, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

I have been an active editor here for the better part of 2 years. I am familiar with the notability guidelines and everyday I always correcting typos and misspellings to many articles permission would be helpful in addressing vandalism. Pfomma (talk) 10:46, 18 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Although I am just 2-month-old, as part of my commitment to Wikipedia, I would love to be able to review (accept or decline) edits that are made to articles/pages under the pending changes protection or any other means. I am a copyeditor, and have created quite a handful of articles since my arrival here (50+). I have a good track record too. Thank you so much in anticipation of your consideration.
