Relationship with the European Union
This article states that Euratom "is legally distinct from the European Union (EU), but has the same membership, and is governed by the EU's institutions." What does this actually mean? The article seems to flip-flop between saying it is part of the EU and saying that it is not. can someone clarify this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.208.125.122 (talk) 16:46, 27 January 2017 (UTC)
Expansion
What was the practical effect of this treaty. Presumably it was signed in order to effect certain actions ? This description is entirely missing from this article.--jrleighton 06:03, 28 February 2006 (UTC)
Both?
Not sure what this sentence is supposed to mean: "In the end, both Monnet proposed the creating of both, as separate communities, to reconcile both groups." Jimjamjak (talk) 10:15, 26 November 2008 (UTC)
- I rephrased this as follows In the end, Monnet proposed the creation of separate atomic energy and economic communities, to reconcile both groups in an attempt to clarify this sentence.Khajidha (talk) 00:01, 10 January 2009 (UTC)
First line
The first sentence in the Introduction is completely contradictory: ...an international organisation which is semi-independent of, but completely controlled by, the European Com... How can something be any level of independent if it is "completely" controlled by something else? Picky? Yes, I know. Sorry. ScottyMull (talk) 05:40, 21 May 2009 (UTC)
Actually, i am afraid, the sentence is not true. EURATOM does share some institutions with the EU (eg Commission) but not others (eg Foreign Minister (HRUFASP)) Legally it is at the same level as EU. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 85.161.203.115 (talk) 20:19, 23 February 2010 (UTC)
Establishing Severe Penalties For Officials Who Target Civilians
In the history of European regulation, Article 37 of the Euratom Treaty represents pioneering legislation concerning binding transfrontier obligations with respect to environmental impact and protection of humans. This shall include the enforcement of severe penalties for officials who target civilians. A section in the article should point out existing legislation protecting European civilians from European officials illegally working for the United states. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 93.96.21.106 (talk) 15:50, 5 November 2011 (UTC)
Association Agreement with Ukraine
The article should be updated to include the association agreement with Ukraine. Demdem (talk) 10:30, 6 February 2018 (UTC)
EU Flag
Why does this article use the EU flag when the text clearly states with citations that this treaty predates the EU and is independent of it.
EES
that is EES EAEC ? --Tpyvvikky (talk) 15:24, 14 September 2021 (UTC)
