Request reason:

I hope this message finds the administrators of Wikipedia well. It has now been three years since my account was blocked indefinitely due to my entry regarding Steph Curry, specifically my opinion regarding his style of play. Prior to that entry, my account had been flagged as a result of my revisions to the ripped jeans, rice pudding, and Buddhism pages. I am now writing to formally request that my account be unblocked as I feel I have matured greatly over the last three years and, more importantly, have learned that my posts, and all posts like them, have a lasting impact on how users view Wikipedia, specifically the damage it does to its reputation as a reputable source of legitimate information.
To begin, even as I was writing my entry about Steph Curry, I knew it was wrong and crossed the line that no Wikipedia user should cross. It was an opinion entry, not a factual entry, that used profane language in an effort to have some fun with Warriors fans at the outset of the 2019 NBA Finals, of which my hometown Toronto Raptors were a part of. My post was clearly an abuse of this site and I agreed with Wikipedia taking down my post, and in light of my previous Wikipedia history, blocking my account. To this post, all I can say is that I apologize for writing it and for using Wikipedia as a sort of sandbox for my own personal humour instead of as the legitimate online encyclopedia it strives to be.
Speaking of my Wikipedia history, as mentioned, my account was previously flagged due to my entries regarding ripped jeans, chocolate milk rice pudding, and Buddhism. In each instance, I agreed with Wikipedia flagging these entries. My main goal with them were to write humorous entries about things that actually did happen to me. To these posts all I can say is that they were self serving and I agree that they did not contribute to Wikipedia’s mission statement. If my account is unblocked, I promise the administrators of Wikipedia that I will not write such posts again. Although my promise may not mean much since it is just words, I would therefore like to invite Wikipedia to permanently remove my account should I post another unhelpful contribution to this site.
I realize that words have meaning. As a result of my previous posts, my own niece used me as an example in her English class of why people should be careful not to rely on everything you read online. If my account is unblocked, I will strive to meaningfully contribute to this online community in order to show that it can be trusted as a legitimate source of information.
Thank you for reviewing my appeal. a
