The EU-system of protection is fully harmonized. It is inly due to labelling rules (specifically Regulation 1308/2013 art.119 (3) (a) that French wine priducers can use the term appellation d'origine contrôlée or similar traditional terms recognized by Regulation 1308/2013 art. 112 (a).. undo
