Acanthoclita balia is a moth of the Tortricidae family.[1] It is found in Sri Lanka,[2][3]

Description

Wingspan of female is 11.5 mm. Head and antenna dark fuscous. Palpus dark fuscous is small and slightly curved. Thorax grayish to ochreous with irregular dark black spots. Abdomen light golden-fuscous. Fore wing oblong, with apex rounded-rectangular. Fore wings whitish-gray with partly tinged ochreous. Densely covered with dark fuscous and black marbles. Costa with a more distinct whitish oblong-subrectangular spot from basal patch to middle. This spot is followed by a black oblique moderate band runs from middle of costa. Posterior part of costa with five rather wide pairs of pale oblique strigulae. A large leaden-grey irregular circular spot found on upper angle of cell. A whitish wedge-shaped patch found in tornus. There is a whitish sub-horizontal streak runs half-way between middle of fold and dorsum. Remaining areas of fore wings dark fuscous mixed with irregular black spots. Cilia dark fuscous. Hind wings bronze-fuscous color. Cilia pale fuscous with a somewhat darker basal band and a pale basal line.[4]
