Background

On October 7, 2016 he posted on his Instagram account a video where he was lip-synching a snipped of "Fine by Me".[3][4] The song was released, along with the pre-order on iTunes on November 26, 2015.[5] On the following day, it was officially released as the album's fourth single.

Composition and lyrics

The track is an uptempo EDM, disco and R&B song[6][7][8][9] inspired by 80's music.[10] In the song, Brown sings about a woman who only calls him late at night when she wants affection, and after she gets what she wants, she leaves and never stays the whole night, and this fine by Brown.[11]
