The bombs exploded after an anonymous telephone call to the Gara newspaper beforehand, as is usual for the ETA, allowing for evacuation of the targetted areas.
- Ukraine's Supreme Court annuls the run-off vote of the disputed presidential election. The judges have declared that a new vote must be held by December 26.
