The Treaty of Lisbon was signed on February 13 1668, between Afonso VI of Portugal and Carlos II of Spain, by mediation of Charles II of England.

By this treaty Spain finally recognized the independence of Portugal, the legitimity of it's monarch and gave up any further attempt to incorporate her people into the Spanish Empire.

Portugal yielded Ceuta to Spain.

This treaty ended the 26 years-long Portuguese Restoration War.
