Winston Roddick is a barrister, and the independent Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales Police. He is the first person to hold the post and was elected on 15 November 2012.

After training and working as a police officer in Liverpool, he trained as a barrister. He then became a Crown Court recorder. One of Wales's leading barristers, he was apointed Wales' first Counsel General, the most senior legal adviser to the Welsh Assembly.[1]

Standing down from the position in 2012, he fought the Police and Crime Commissioner for North Wales Police, beating Labour's Tal Michael on the second count.[1]
