Keukegen (毛羽毛現, "fluffy hair appearance") is a creature illustrated in Toriyama Sekien's Konjaku Hyakki Shūi. It resembles a small dog covered entirely in long hair. Its name is a pun - when written with different kanji (希有怪訝), keukegen means "an unusual thing which is rarely seen".
According to one report, the keukegen is a disease spirit which lives in damp, dark places and causes people in the house to get sick.

- Keukegen appears in Ninja Sentai Kakuranger. It is depicted as a hairy monster with masks sticking out of it's body. It appeared as an unnamed background monster in Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Power Rangers Zeo.
- Keukegen appears several times in the video game Muramasa: Rhe Demon Blade for the Wii, having an overall appearance similar to Toriyama Sekien's interpretation except that it is orb-like in shape. A larger Keukegan is also present in the game, which is of great size and seems to be filled with human skulls which are revealed as the creature takes successive levels of damage.
