Dättlikon has an area of {{km2 to mi2|2.9|abbr=on}}. Of this area, 43% is used for agricultural purposes, while 45.7% is forested. In the 2007 election the most popular party was the [[Swiss People's Party|SVP]] which received 39% of the vote. The next three most popular parties were the [[Social Democratic Party of Switzerland|SPS]] (19.1%), the [[Christian Social Party (Switzerland)|CSP]] (13.2%) and the [[Free Democratic Party of Switzerland|FDP]] (10.5%).
