Asha Philip is an English sprinter, who was the first British woman to achieve a global 100m title having won Gold at the 2007 IAAF World Youth Championships aged 16.
Born in Leyton, East London, she had competed in double mini trampoline since aged 4. After winning the IAAF gold, she ruptured the cruciate ligament in her right knee competing in the GB team event at the double-mini Trampoline World Championships in Quebec, Canada. This ruled her out of competing at the 2008 Summer Olympics in Bejing, [[China].[1]
