The Knollwood estate was a Gold Coast era 60-room castle-esque house and estate. Located in Muttontown, New York, its ruins are now part of the Muttontown Preserve.

Built in circa 1907 for Wall Street mogul Charles Hudson,[1] the huge stone mansion had classical columns and balustrades.[2]

In 1951 it was famously purchased by King Zog of Albania for approximately $102,800. It is rumoured that Zog bought the mansion with a bucket of diamonds and rubies. Although Zog intended the estate to be his kingdom-in-exile, staffed by Albanian subjects, he never moved in. As rumours of Zog's riches being hidden in the mansion, various loutters ransacked the house, and it fell into ruin.[3] Zog sold the house in 1955, and the local county works department pulled down the ruins in 1959 for reasons of safety.

The ruins of the sixty-room mansion are now part of the Muttontown Preserve, with the entrance located on Jericho-Oyster Bay Road (Route 106).
