Count Charles of Arenberg (Vollenhove, 1550 - Enghien, 1616) was the second sovereign prince of Arenberg. He was the son of Jean de Ligne and Margaretha van der Mark, countess of Arenberg.

In 1587 he married Anne of Croy , they had 12 children. Through Anne of Croy the House of Arenberg obtained Blanden.

Charles was a military commander in the Spanish army during the Eighty Year's War. He besieged the town of Eindhoven in 1583.
In 1586, like his father, he was made a Knight of the Order of the Golden Fleece.

In 1607 Charles and Anne bought the domain at Enghien from Henry IV of France. They had the castle rebuilt and the gardens replanted and walled.
