Richard Ahiagbah, is the Director of Communications for the New Patriotic Party in Ghana.[1][2]

Early Life

Ahiagbah is a native of Aflao, a suburbthe of Volta Region in Ghana. He is married and has a daughter.[3]

Education

Ahiagbah is an alumnus of the West London College, Illinois Central College, Illinois State University and the University of Illinois.[4]

Career

Richard Ahiagbah is currently the Director of Communications at the New Patriotic Party. He doubles as the Deputy Director of Research at the Office of the President.[5] Ahiagbah began his professional career at the Fiscal Policy Centre and also as a Legislative Liaison for Oneok Hydrocarbons in the United States.[6]

He moved to serve as the Group Head of Corporate Affairs for Media General – a media conglomerate comprising TV3, 3FM, Onua FM, Connect FM and Akoma FM. His continued as the Country Lead of Communications at the Mastercard Foundation Ghana hub and later worked at the Guaranty Trust Bank (Ghana) Ltd as the Group Head of Corporate Affairs in Ghana.[7]

Mr Ahiagbah joined Airtel Ghana as the Head of Corporate Communications and was later appointed as the Executive Director of the Danquah Institute in October 2019.[4]

He worked as a field organizer for President Barack Obama’s re-election campaign in 2012.

Ahiagbah works as the Director of Communication for the New Patriotic Party in Ghana.
