Description Pedro Avelino Aguirre Cerda (*6 de febrero de 1879 — †25 de noviembre de 1941), político, abogado y educador chileno, Presidente de Chile entre 1938 y 1941, año en que falleció. Militante del partido radical, bajo su gobierno dio gran impulso a la educación, bajo el lema “gobernar es educar”. Popularmente se le conocía como "Don Tinto", por su vinculación a la industria vitivinícola.
