English: Entrance to Newport Recreation Ground The house, presumably originally the park-keepers house, is interesting in having "VR" on the left side of the upper central window and "ER" on the right. This tends to suggest construction started in Queen Victoria's reign and finished in Edward VII's, dating it at 1900-01.
