Shows the face of a young pink-complexioned woman with dark-brown curls pinned up and framing her face; the rest of her, to waist length, is sketched in. She is wearing a high-waisted white dress and a red shawl. She is turned away from the front of the picture, looking at the viewer over her shoulder, smiling slightly, and holding one arm out in front of her.
