Description
English: Offered for sale by Abbott and Holder in November 2021, when it was described as "Scotland; Braemar, Ben y Bourd [Beinn A’ Bhuird], from south of Invercauld. Pen, ink and watercolour over a partially printed base. Probably a working sheet for the 1819 edition of Robson’s ‘Outlines of the Grampian Mountains’ (Publ. 1814 and 1819, with plates by Henry Morton). The 1819 edition added aquatint and hand colouring to the original plates. Provenance: George Price Boyce (1826-1897), the backing inscribed ‘Bought of F Helsted by George P Boyce / June 11 ’67’. 7.25×13.5 inches.".
