Oscar Stembridge (born December 29, 2007) is a singer-songwriter from Sweden. He is a multi-instrumentalist. In 2022 he became the youngest winner of the Rookie Artist of the Year award at the Sweden Denniz Pop Awards.

Career

Oscar Stembridge was born on 29, December 2007 and he is a singer-songwriter from Sweden. He is the youngest person ever signed to a recording contract by Universal Music Sweden. He was ten-years-old when he was signed.[1][2] In 2022 he became the youngest winner of the Rookie Artist of the Year award at the Sweden Denniz Pop Awards.

Stembridge is a multi-instrumentalist, he plays guitar, piano, drums and bass.[3] When he was eleven-years-old he was invited to perform at Allsång på Skansen[4] one of the youngest ever. He writes heartfelt songs around themes for his generation including social alienation, anti-bullying, peace and the planet.

In 2020, Oscar played for Her Royal Highness Crown Princess Victoria of Sweden on her birthday to public acclaim.[5]

Stembridge has also appeared as a young actor in two TV series in his native Sweden. His first TV appearance was in 2020 on the SVT hit series called KÄR [6] playing the main role of Adam in a 122 episodes.[7] He subsequently appeared on the SVT series "Up4Noise" as one of the main characters, Felix, in 2021.

Stembridge independently released his Debut EP, THIR13EN, in 2022.[8]

Oscar is due to appear on Season 19, America's Got Talent, on the second swede to do so in the history of the show.[9]

Stembridge has a large and loyal fanbase who call themselves Stemmy's. Stemmy is a reference to Stembridge and the family dog (Golden Retriever) "Teddy".
