Greetings to all members of the Military History Project! This month marks the beginning of the Project's Backlog Reduction Drive. The goal is to eliminate the often-sizable backlogs of articles needing attention to references, structure, writing, neutrality or supporting materials. This is an important - yet often overlooked - aspect of our coverage of military history; stub- and start-class articles often lag behind as GAs, ACRS and FACs take the bulk of the attention; this drive aims to correct that. The top three reducers will receive the Gold, Silver or Bronze Wiki Award for their contributions. This month also saw the promotion of four Featured Articles, one Featured List, and five A-Class Articles; well done to all contributors on these high-quality pieces!

This month's issue also featured an editorial by fellow editor Ed concerning possible real-world collaborations between Wikipedia and outside groups, and how these may pertain to our project in the future. Enjoy the march, and happy editing!
