Wikipedia:WikiProject Video games/BioWare

This was my fault. I had delusions of grandeur and I tried to move too far, too fast (though User:Ninjalemming apparently moved even faster when he created this) and create a WikiProject for BioWare games and technologies. So far, we've achieved less than nothing.

I may one day attempt to start it up again, but I think that, right now, it's time to throw in the towel and call it in until I can get better with coding and organising things.

Also, if I've put this in the wrong place, apologies. This is only the second time I've submitted anything for deletion and it's the first time with Twinkle. ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 11:34, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment I should work on the stuff properly when I have time which will be after christmas; but Blazer's right, Wikiprojects are Historical and can't be deleted due to large amount linkages to other articles and users. Also it does really matter about the coding level, just because some one has good codng doesn't mean they are good editors, and most people on wikipedia (including Xeno) could help with complecations. • Keep Absent any actual reason for deletion, a six-month old project with active editors as members ought to be kept. Collect (talk) 14:29, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Comment: That's the thing. None of us are really "active" for the project. We're active on Wikipedia, but not on the project itself. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 15:07, 4 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
CommentBut Ace, having a wikiproject doesn't mean masses of editing on the page, you've been editing alot of Mass Effect and just general Bioware stuff meaning you are active on the project and if anyything big came up on it you would have an input, as you have now. • Keep Per my above comments and that which will proceed; such as deletion of this project and all subsequent sub-pages and relaions to currently existing and editing articles seems too much like wasted time and effort if it will be remade later (such like after the release of Mass Effect 2), whilst this time could be used to constructively edit mainspace. • Comment If you all get consensus within the wikiproject to abandon it, then you don't need an MfD process to mark it historical or delete it, or whatever. You can just speedy anything that needs to be deleted as uncontroversial. Gigs (talk) 01:37, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  • Keep I see no particular reason to get rid of a task force page that seems completely reasonable for the project (there's plenty of developer-specific task forces). It may not always be promoting the articles under it, but there's more than a handful that do qualify and with two recent released from the company on the way (Dragon Age and ME2) there may be more interest in it. --MASEM (t) 15:21, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  • Comment: Very well. If this is the consensus of everyone, then I withdraw the request. At the time, I think my thought processes were something along the lines of that it would be better to get rid of it than to just leave it sitting around unfinished with no-one touching it. Obviously I was wrong and I just proved how much of a moron I am. --ThejadefalconSing your songThe bird's seeds 15:24, 5 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
