Beatty is only really notable for being Miss Utah, and this is not enough to establish notability. The coverage up until she won Miss Utah is all local coverage from St. George and southern Utah. The Deseret News article on her win makes about as much mention of other contestants. I did find an article from Today.com about her being at one point diagnosed as never being able to walk, but even if that is a reliable source (I don't know) it is not enough to suggest notability. • Delete: This took a while to investigate because there are 20 references, the article is by far laid out better than many of the other like articles with far more content, appearing to satisfy notability requirements. However, in looking at the references, the majority being local coverage, there is still a problem with the subjects notability. Many of the references are run-of-the-mill, local, or a primary source and I looked at all of them. 1)- "It's in the family - Five women in family named Miss Washington County" (The Spectrum: About her family ), 2)- "There is Something for Everyone at the Washington County Fair" (The Independent: About all of us; 404 error or Dead link ), 3)- "Krissia Beatty, Miss Washington County Finalist in Miss Utah Pageant" (KCSG: Finalist in Miss Utah pageant), 4)- "State Contestants: Utah - 2012" (Miss America: Primary source and a Dead link), 5)- "Miss Dixie Crown Passed To Krissia Beatty" (Dixie State University: Primary source), 6)- "State Contestants: Utah - 2013" (Miss America: Primary source and 404 error; dead link), 7)- "Ciera Pekarcik crowned Miss Utah 2013 at Capitol Theatre Saturday" (Deseret News: About Miss Utah 2013 Ciera Pekarcik and pageants in general and not about the subject), 8)- "State Contestants: Utah - 2014" (Miss America: Primary and dead link), 9)- Miss Nebo 2014 ( Miss America: Primary source, not significant), 10- "Miss Nebo Krissia Beatty crowned as Miss Utah 2015 Saturday" (Deseret News: Miss Nebo again), 11)- "Miss Utah 2015, Krissia Beatty" (Miss Utah pageant, a primary source), 12)- "Krissia Beatty, Miss Nebo Crowned New Miss Utah 2015" (Gephardt Daily: Crowned Miss Utah), 13)- "Miss Nebo Krissia Beatty crowned Miss Utah" (KSL-TV: Miss Nebo crowned Miss Utah), 14)- "Miss Nebo Krissia Beatty crowned Miss Utah 2015" (Daily Herald: Miss Nebo crowned Miss Utah), 15)- "Miss Nebo Krissia Beatty crowned Miss Utah" (The Washington Times: Miss Nebo crowned Miss Utah), 16)- "State Contestants: Utah - 2015" (Miss America: Primary source and dead link), 17)- "DSU student Krissia Beatty crowned Miss Utah" (The Spectrum: Miss Utah), 18)- (Daily Herald: Utah County contestants in general), 19)- "Miss America Show Scholarships 2016" (Miss America: Not about the subject just Scholarships in general), 20- "The 2016 Miss America Competition Scholarships & Awards" (Miss America: Primary source and 404 error page, Dead link.)

  • Comment The suggested added source is another local, southern-Utah source that is a reaction to the one win. We either need coverage far outside of her local area or extended coverage over more time to justify having this article.John Pack Lambert (talk) 18:44, 11 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Today (stylized as TODAY), also called The Today Show, is an American news and talk morning television show that airs on NBC. The program debuted on January 14, 1952. It was the first of its genre on American television and in the world, and is the fifth-longest-running American television series. Originally a two-hour program on weekdays, it expanded to Sundays (a one-hour program) in 1987 and Saturdays (running for two hours) in 1992. The weekday broadcast expanded to three hours in 2000, and to four hours in 2007.

  • Comments -- sources offered or available do not establish the subject's notability as do not address the subject directly and in detail; local coverage is not sufficient for notability. K.e.coffman (talk) 08:15, 19 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]

  • Comment And the sources offered are still almost all Utah sources covering the event. None of the sources suggest this is more than routine one-event coverage, nothing approaching sustained coverage we need to pass the general notability guidelines.John Pack Lambert (talk) 03:10, 20 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
  • Then why the "delete" in bold, when you've made an argument to merge?  If you read the paragraph just above, it says, "If WP:N notability were really the issue, a resolution could come with mini-bios that don't require notability.  When the solution is said to be WP:DEL8, the claiming of lack of notability ignores WP:ATD, so is not policy-based reasoning."  Unscintillating (talk) 17:14, 27 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
