In the 1930s, EVR visited Germany. It is not clear what he learnt from Hitler's Germany, but it is certainly true that the Dravidar Kazhagam was patterned after the Nazi Party - its black-shirted storm troopers were prone to anti-Brahmin violence.[citation needed] Its conferences prominently displayed lewd caricatures of Brahmins - somewhat patterned after Julius Streicher's Der Sturmer.[citation needed] The speeches called for the elimination of Brahmins from Tamil Nadu, and the enslavement of Brahmin women. The speeches harkened back to an ancient Tamil glory, similar to Hitler's revival of ancient Germanic culture.[citation needed] The DK positioned Brahmins as the antithesis of Tamils and Brahmins as the enemies of the Tamil language (ignoring the significant contribution by Brahmins to Tamil literature from time immemorial.) Within a span of 20 years, the Brahmins of Tamil Nadu, who had been living there for more than 2000 years, were turned into alien immigrants by the DK's propaganda.[citation needed]
His speeches used foul language to attack Brahmins, a practice that is followed even today by his followers. He never made any attempt to distinguish between good or bad Brahmins. For him, all Brahmins were evil, and were to be exterminated. By changing the usage of the word 'Brahminism' (which meant rituals and religion of the Brahmins) to mean 'casteism', he absolved all other upper castes of any responsibility of casteism, and only put the blame on Brahmins.[citation needed] His followers plastered the state with anti-Brahmin messages - for example: "If you see a snake and a Brahmin, leave the snake alone and kill the Brahmin." "We will break the temple and set fire to the agraharam (Brahmin settlement)" "We will turn Brahmin women into public property".[citation needed] Many of these slogans can be seen in walls in Tamil Nadu even today. The population of Brahmins in Tamil Nadu, which was about 10% in the 1920s, is today less than 3% as a result of persecution by EVR and his followers.[citation needed]

Kashmir
If Azad Kashmir is a term given by Pakistan, then what India usually use a term for Indain held Kashmir, Indian occupied Kashmir, "an atoot ang" integeral part of India? Anyways Northern Areas and so-called Azad Kashmir (under your aspect) are two different regions, nevertheless if they had some geoghraphical relations in ancient times. Take care Friend. - First of all, you have forgotten your sign at the end of your reply, it is just to press four time "(~~~~), it appears your name with date and time. For reply you, I had to go back to pashtun talk page! Coming back to our main discussion, you meant, a term given by Pakisntan is Azad Kashmir and by India "Atoot Ang", while it should be simply like Indian occupied Kashmir and Pakistan occupied Kashmir? Haider 23:13, 12 March 2007 (UTC)
- What should we use a term for Indian occupied Kashmir, "Indian Administered Kashmir" rather than Just "Kashmir"? Haider 20:08, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
- The problem is, reference books usually applying "terms" Pakistan occupied area as Azad Kashmir, even on Britannica, which I myself dont believe in them. Line of Control is another famous line(problem), anyways it should be solved as under the resolutions passed by the United Nations Haider 20:29, 15 March 2007 (UTC)
Railways
I've removed some controversial material from the Indian Railways page. I've also left a message on that talk page in the hope that these users follow set guidelines. If they continue to do so, please revert and post a message on the talk page. If they continue, then you would need to notify some admins. Regards, =Nichalp «Talk»= 17:25, 16 March 2007 (UTC)
- Hi, in regards to that page. If you find something POV, then post a citation tag like this, {{Citation needed}} which will produce this [citation needed] on the page, at the end of the sentence of paragraph. Also, in regards to the two users who are edit warring as a team, it seems that Truevlaue was created on March 16, 2007. Also, this user has edited on the same pages here as Ramananrv123 here. Your best bet would be to do a WP:RCU or checkuser on both these accounts here. If both accounts are found to have the same IP Address, in most cases they would both be blocked. I hope this was helpful. Regards. Wiki Raja 00:42, 17 March 2007 (UTC)
Hi, Sir, The issue of edit war in Indian Railways, Rajdhani Express and Shatabadi Express has been raised by some users as they think that posting an official version of Indian Rail will be a neutral point of view. If mentioning that Indian Rail needs heavy investment or it needs improvement to meet global standards becomes personal point of view, then this will not keep the Wikepedia's standard. Further, the fact that the Airlines are giving run for money to Rajdhani & Shatabadi by wooing its passengers is not a personal point of view, it is well known fact in today's India. Mentioning that Shatabadi & Rajdhani are very slow from Global standards of Fastest trains is a fact, when TGV runs at 320 kms/hr and Maglev train runs at a top speed of 431 kms/hour. Hence, my request to you is that please maintain neutrality in these Railway related articles, towing Railway's official line will not maintain Wikipedia's standards. Vadama
Concerning the note you had posted on the talk page of Vadama, permit me observe that the Vadama were an inchoate group right up to the early 19th century, as were most other Brahmin groups. The practices of the different categories of the Vadama appear to have been very different, right up to the early 20th century. It is, therefore, quite possible that these groups arrived at different points of time from other parts of the country and began to coalesce into the Vadama, on account of certain overarching similarities, only when minor differences started disappearing; the process may be comparable to the present, when differences between Vadama, Brihacharanam, Madhyama, Sankethi and Ashtasahasram have also started giving way to yield only the concept of 'Iyer'. Therefore, it would have been possible for one group of Vadama to migrate to Palghat from Tanjore much before many other groups arrived in the south. Voltigeur (talk) 17:56, 1 April 2008 (UTC)
==Speedy deletion of Mehran 800==
A tag has been placed on Mehran 800, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G1 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page appears to have no meaningful content or history, and the text is unsalvageably incoherent. If the page you created was a test, please use the sandbox for any other experiments you would like to do. Feel free to leave a message on my talk page if you have any questions about this.
If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding
{{hangon}}
to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that a copy be emailed to you. Ro098 (talk) 21:02, 1 May 2008 (UTC)

The article Enna Kodumai Saravanan Idhu has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:
- No references. Non-notable in that it fails WP:V form WP:RS. No 3rd party sources have documented it as popular phrase.
While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.
You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}}
notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.
Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}}
will stop the Proposed Deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The Speedy Deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and Articles for Deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. VasuVR (talk, contribs) 16:37, 6 December 2009 (UTC)

Tamil New year
Please do not revert changes made by several individuls synthesizing different viewpoints and supported by multitude of cittions on the Tamil new year. The edits introduced suddenly without consultation two days ago are against fact. In 2008 January, the DMK introduced legislation that changed the new year from April to January. This was not accepted by Tamils outside India and elsewhere in India. Even those in Tamil Nadu did not necessarily support it. The article provides citations. Karunanidhi's legislation, inspired by Kanimozhi, was challenged in the Madurai Bench of the High Court which dismissed the petition. The litigants then appealed to the Supreme Court which subsequently directed the Chennai High Court to re-hear the case. The edits made yesterday refer to the observations of the Madurai Bench Judge who dismissed the initial petition. This however was overruled by the Supreme Court which directed the Courts to hear the case anew. This was pending when Jayalalitha introduced the new legislation in 2011 August over-turning Karunanidhi's legislation. This brought back the new year celebration to April. The edits made yesterday are selective, delete important citations and introduce misleading information about the Madurai bench observations which were superceded by a whole host of court observations thereafter, not to mention the legislative enactment by the Jayalalithaa administration. So please desist from unilateral edits. Discuss it in the talk page. —
- Please review the changes I have made. I have not removed a single reference present earlier. The Controversy section was a devoid of logical order. If you feel like I have removed any particular refernce you are free to add them instead of removing the whole section. rams81 (talk) 21:06, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
you have made three reversals in one day. This violates Wiki policy. I will report you in the course of the evening today to have your account frozen. you are imposing your views on a synthesis document — Preceding unsigned comment added by 202.171.161.131 (talk) 21:09, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- So did you Mr IP User. I am reitrating again, if you feel any links were lost you can add them. What makes you think a cluttered chunk of text under controversy is better than something logically organised. You should have no problem reviewing both versions and see if I really removed any text. rams81 (talk) 21:13, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
Vanakkam Tiru Ramanan,
Good morning.
I was just alerted to the 'edit war'. I respect and hear you on the textual reorganization that you are proposing. However, should we first discuss your proposed textual re-organization in the discussion page? I will support your efforts provided no material or citations are removed.
The previous IP editor had removed reference to the 'Hindu solar calendar'. You had removed reference to the 'Tiruvalluvar era'. It may be good to retain both reference to reflect both sides of the debate. How do you think we should proceed?
Your's respectfully
Dipendra2007 (talk) 21:33, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
- Vanakkam Thiru Dipendra,
With respect to the textual reorganisation, I did not discuss in the talk page of the article because I did not intend to remove any content or reference. If any editor feels that in the process I tampered any material, citations or introduced POV, I am welcome to joing the discussion page. In fact, I created a talk page entry when the IP user started reverting my edits.
Regarding the Thiruvalluvar era, this is the text I corrected:
The 2006–2011 Government in Tamil Nadu also introduced the Tiruvalluvar era that begins with the purported birth of the Tamil literary figure Tiruvalluvar in the year 31 BCE. The literary evidence however may not indicate an early date for Tiruvalluvar. The syntax and grammar may indicate a subsequent date. Renowned Tamil Scholar Vaiyapuri Pillai was of the view that Tiruvalluvar lived around 600 CE, based on the internal evidence of his work and the significant influence of Sanskrit, Prakrit and Pali works in the Tirukkural.[31] While not all may agree with Vaiyapuri Pillai's textual criticism and dating, several question the Tiruvalluvar era on the issue of its date.[32] However, the Government of J. Jayalalitha reverted the celebration of Puthandu to the original date of fourteenth of April.[11]
To: The Bill also introduced the Tiruvalluvar era that begins with the purported birth of the Tamil literary figure Tiruvalluvar in the year 31 BCE. Though the literary evidence may not indicate such an early date for Tiruvalluvar.
Because the contention of the previous editor was Thiruvalluvar was born in 600 CE and not 31 BCE. My point is since there is general citation regarding it, one need not resort to literary references etc.
Jayalalitha Govt's decision to move New Year to 14 April already finds its place in the new govt order sub-section. rams81 (talk) 22:01, 8 November 2011 (UTC)
