A Song of Ice and Fire

I see you've taken an interest in the Song of Ice and Fire pages. I would recommend you come over to the project page and sign up! Look forward to working with you. NeoFreak 14:18, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks! I've signed up by putting my name in the list of participants. Pejorative.majeure 14:27, 27 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Just a heads up: there is some discussion about the changes to the character pages over at the wikiproject that you should weigh in on. NeoFreak 18:28, 25 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A couple notes on Beric

I noticed that there are some edits you did at the "Characters from A Song of Ice and Fire" page, which moved Beric Dondarrion around..... I couldn't find him and the note you left said,
"(cur) (last) 05:43, December 22, 2006 Pejorative.majeure (Talk | contribs) (clipped this page to those characters that are not linked to major or minor houses; moved minor house characters to a separate page)"
So I went there and did not find him. I put him in the "Minor House Characters" page since that appears to have been the intent.
I don't know how to fix the redirect that still points to this page when you search for Beric Dondarrion. What I mean is, searches for "Beric Dondarrion" at Wikipedia point to:
"Characters from A Song of Ice and Fire
From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia
(Redirected from Beric Dondarrion)"
Do you know how to fix this?

Temeraire

I see you're interested in the Temeraire novels. We've been working on a Temeraire wiki (http://www.temeraire.org/wiki/index.php?title=Main_Page ) and I thought I'd ask you to come over since you've already got a lot of information and I feel wrong just stealing it. ;) -- Strangerface 23:00, 3 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Fair use rationale for Image:Blackpowderwar.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:Blackpowderwar.jpg. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 14:30, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Notability of Emma Booth (Actress)

A tag has been placed on Emma Booth (Actress), requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article appears to be about a person, group of people, band, club, company, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not assert the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. Gimme danger 03:57, 9 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

If you are interested, I have collected headlines for the film using RSS feeds and Google Alerts. I can dump all the relevant headlines on the film article's talk page for you to use, if you are looking for references to implement. I've done this at Talk:Pan's Labyrinth#Headlines to use and Talk:Sunshine (2007 film)#Potentially usable headlines. Let me know, I'd be glad to help. —Erik (talkcontrib) - 03:57, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Great! I won't be able to help you right now, as I leave for work in a little while, then I'm going out of town afterward for the whole weekend. The soonest I could start providing headlines would be Monday. It'd be great to see Stardust expanded! I wasn't sure if you were familiar, but WP:MOSFILMS is a guideline to help write a film article. Good luck! (If I don't seem to be around on Monday, leave a message on my talk page; sometimes these things will slip my mind.) —Erik (talkcontrib) - 11:15, 27 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you for uploading Image:Kh fewdemonsmore.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the image. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

License tagging for Image:Mainlib.gif

Thanks for uploading Image:Mainlib.gif. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 01:08, 26 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Cannibal Holocaust cast section

Do you believe that a cast section is absolutely necessary for the Cannibal Holocaust article? Most of the major cast/characters are covered in the introductory paragraph, and there are also many featured film articles that also lack a cast section. Jacksonville Public Library

Hi. :) It seems the image removal bot will continue to delete your image of the Jacksonville Public Library each time you upload it. Replacing it with a free image would do the trick - if you live/work in the area you could take a photo of the library and upload that instead? That'd stop the bot deleting the image, since I think the only problem (despite your permission from the library to use that image) is that a free image should be reasonably easy to obtain. Thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that recently you carried out a copy and paste page move from Southern ground-hornbill. Please do not move articles by copying and pasting them because it splits the article's history, which is needed for attribution and is helpful in many other ways. In most cases, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page. If there is an article that you cannot move yourself by this process, follow the instructions at Wikipedia:Requested moves. Also, if there are any other articles that you copied and pasted, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Cut and paste move repair holding pen. I have fixed this move for you; if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to let me know. Thanks! --Kinu t/c 04:16, 3 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Please update your status with WP:VG

Dear WikiProject Video games member,

You are receiving this message because you have either Category:WikiProject Video games members or {{User WPVG}} somewhere in your userspace and you have edited Wikipedia in recent months.

The Video games project has created a member list to provide a clearer picture of its active membership.

All members have currently been placed in the "Inactive" section by default. Please remove your username from the "Inactive" listing and place it under the "Active" listing if you plan on regularly:

Ideally, members are encouraged to do both, but either one meets our criteria of inclusion. Members still listed inactive at the beginning of November 2009 may be removed. You may re-add yourself to the active list at any time. Thank you for your help, and we look forward to working with you.

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. Template:Pixar Animation Studios

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war. Note that the three-revert rule prohibits making more than three reversions on a single page within a 24-hour period. Additionally, users who perform several reversions in content disputes may be blocked for edit warring even if they do not technically violate the three-revert rule. When in dispute with another editor you should first try to discuss controversial changes to work towards wording and content that gains a consensus among editors. Should that prove unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection. If the edit warring continues, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 01:09, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I noticed your attempt to discuss this on the talk page. While that is a good start, please be aware that you're just as guilty of violating 3RR as the IPs are. The only time 3RR doesn't apply is when reverting clear vandalism ... what you're reverting isn't vandalism, but a simple format dispute. Such continuous reverts disrupt all the pages that use the template. Instead, discuss the format you'd like to use in the talk page and seek consensus with other editors. Until then, please leave the template alone, even if it's not the format you want it to be. Thank you. --McDoobAU93 (talk) 01:55, 22 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Startherelogo.gif, has been listed at Wikipedia:Files for deletion. Please see the discussion to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

The article Cities in A Song of Ice and Fire has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Wikipedia is not a indiscriminate collection of information and this is excessive fan trivia. Tourneys in a song of Ice and Fire was recently deleted via AFD using a similar rationale.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Yoenit (talk) 13:15, 5 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

Nomination of List of Pixar film references for deletion

A discussion has begun about whether the article List of Pixar film references, which you created or to which you contributed, should be deleted. While contributions are welcome, an article may be deleted if it is inconsistent with Wikipedia policies and guidelines for inclusion, explained in the deletion policy.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of Pixar film references (3rd nomination) until a consensus is reached, and you are welcome to contribute to the discussion.

You may edit the article during the discussion, including to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion template from the top of the article. Schmidt, MICHAEL Q. 21:28, 22 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Can you offer your opinion in this discussion?

Hi. In the past you've offered your opinion in choosing photos for the Infobox. Can you offer your neutral opinion in this discussion on a related topic? It may go toward a precedent regarding captions. Thanks, and Happy Holidays. Nightscream (talk) 20:03, 23 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading File:Giftofdragons.gif. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

Note that any non-free images not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described in section F5 of the criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. --B-bot (talk) 17:34, 12 July 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Notice

The article List of Temeraire characters has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Mostly unsourced, unlikely to meet WP:LISTN. The most important characters should be covered at the main article, but the rest of this is just WP:NOT/WP:FANCRUFT

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
