Murphy is a 2023 Indian Kannada-language period romantic drama film directed by B S P Varma.Written by B S P Varma and Prabhu Mundkur Produced by Somanna Takkies and VarnaSindhu Studios, the film stars Prabhu Mundkur, Roshni Prakash, Ila Veermalla and Dattanna. The movie marks Ila Veermalla’s debut in Sandalwood. David Murphy tries to fix his grandfathers old radio which was received as a present on their birthday as both the grandfather and the grandson share the same date.
Principal photography commenced in April 2021 and ended in May 2022 with filming taking place in Goa and Mangalore. The film's music is composed by Arjun Janya while cinematography by Adarsha K and Anand sundaresha and editing by Mahesh Thogata.
