Senior Editor (or Labutnum)

Hi! This is me, editing Wikipedia. Please forward any and all articles on obscure military conflicts, defunct Catholic liturgical practices, and dogs. I will read them as I drink Earl Grey and wonder how I developed a healthy social life.

Requests for access to texts in my library may be made at my talk page.

A personal note

Hey, all! Quickly, I'd like to introduce myself: I am a Coloradan with a keen interest in history, which I received a degree in from The College of William & Mary in 2021. I also studied international security during my time as a graduate student at the University of Denver. I generally find that latter subject is inappropriate for what I consider Wikipedia: a leisure hobby.[dubious ] My real jobs have primarily been in secondary education teaching civics, theology, and American history. I now focus heavily on matters related to my faith (Catholic Christianity) and locales that I can reach by car. My contributions have been featured on Depths of Wikipedia once (a crowning achievement). If you want to discuss any of the articles I’m working on or would appreciate help on articles of a historical nature, let me know! You can reach me at my talk page, User talk:Pbritti! Apologies for late responses and do feel free to persist in pestering me!

To-do list

A Skyraider laden with the most of munitions.

Due to my many disparate projects, I figured it was important to show what I’m planning to work on for ease of communication. Some of these are in the front of my mind, some are things on the backburner until I have access to additional resources:

  1. Completion and publication of 1965 Colorado Floods (someday soon, hopefully!)
  2. Make two more ghost town articles (I love making them)
  3. Articles for the 1785, 1789, and 1892 American Anglican prayer (top priority)
  4. Cleaning Catholic ritual articles (sporadic)

Do they pay you to do this?

Unpaid editing is the best editing, and I'm glad to say everything listed below was created for the best reason: I learned something and felt it needed an article. The below are pages I have created.

Christianity

Some of my collection of Books of Common Prayer.

I have been blessed to come into possession of a significant amount of literature on Christianity, particularly regarding Eastern and Anglican Christian liturgical practices. Following the prior completion of an academic project surrounding the various Book of Common Prayers used throughout the British Empire during the Twentieth Century, I started to add the relevant information here. I will be regularly improving articles surrounding this topic and other matters of Christian interest.

Additionally, due to a pet-peeve, I have taken it upon myself to adjust the diocesan articles regarding the Catholic Church. Much of this has to due with the conflation of the terms “Latin Rite”, “Roman Rite”, and “Roman Catholic” with the Latin Church. If you disagree with me removing the term “Roman Catholic” from an article, I recognize there are instances where that verbiage is perhaps the encyclopedic preference. Please contact me on my talk page with issues you may have.

Colorado Coalfield War Project

As part of a university project on the Colorado Coalfield War, I worked on expanding the available articles regarding this topic as much as I could, as well as creating articles for Patrick J. Hamrock, Hildreth Frost, the Victor-American Fuel Company, and more latterly Berwind, Colorado (with a failed attempt at GA status in October 2021). I have mostly (in the loosest of senses) moved on from this project following two productive (albeit failed) attempts to get the war’s page to Good Article-status. Following the latter failed attempt in 2022, I have decided to nix seeking GA status on articles related to this topic until I can devote serious time to the project like I once did before. However, as I work through pages on Colorado ghost towns and other matters, I expect to expand and improve the war's pages as I can. My work on articles such as the Colorado National Guard has been postponed for completion of career and academic work, as well as a refocus to other topics, but I intend to continue contributing to Colorado-related articles.

I should be more liberal in my allocation of these myself; Wikipedia is comprised of mostly awesome people!

1. Occasionally, a family member likes reviewing my edits and makes minor amplifications and corrections. His account is MikeBritti and will share some location data with me (though this will vary dependent on time of year). He is far less active than me, but his edits will almost always immediately follow my contributions to an article, particularly one I substantially contribute to.

2. All material I contribute to Wikipedia may be used in accordance with the relevant copyright legislation and regulation, with preference to attribution where none is required. Material I contribute does not necessarily reflect my views, those of my employer, or any other institution I am affiliated with. Unless I provide written authorization elsewhere, I opt out of all invasive third-party studies on this website.
