The Aravalli Bio Diversity Park (ABDP) is a City Forest which is created out of a mining site situated outskirts of Gurgaon, Haryana, India. The Park is spread across 380 Acres and is home to 300 species plants, 200 species of birds and few wild animals.

The park has been developed through joint efforts of the Municipal Corporation of Gurugram (MCG) and an NGO called iamgurgaon (IAG).

Recognizing the Ecological importance of Aravalli, in May 2004, the Supreme Court of India banned mining in Faridabad, Gurugram and Mewat districts in Haryana.(https://indiankanoon.org/doc/1896562/). Post the Court order the defucnt mining site was used as dumping place for demolition waste of construction activities. In 2009 the administration of the site was transferred from panchayat area to Municipal Corporation of Gurugram. It is when the site got attension of NGO - iamgurgaon and they presented plan to develop the land as Biodiversity Park. MCG and IAG along with Haryana Forest Development Corporation (HFDC) started the plantation work here which was at that time bereft of any soil cover and was infested with vilayati keekar (Prosopis juliflora)

In 2010, HFDC planed around 6000 saplings of local speices like Aegle marmelos, Acacias senegal, Acacia leucopholea, Bauhinia racemosa, Tamarindus indicus, Aegle marmalos, Cassia fistula, Albizzia procera, Acacia nilotica, Cordia dichotoma, Anogeissus pendula, Ficus religiosa and Ficus benjamina along with flowering trees along walking trails, such as Jacaranda, Gulmohar, Bottle-brush, etc. in mining pits to develop few avenues here.

The Park was inaugurated on 5th June 2010 by then Chief Minister of the state Bhupinder Singh Hooda on the World environment Day. The IAG given tasks of conservation, Research etc of the part for 8 years.

The ABDP lies on the northern Tip of the Aravalli Range which is the oldest fold mountain range in the world.
