Hello, I'm Jen! I'm a wife and SAHM of four who writes encyclopedia articles on her phone while waiting to pick up the kids, etc. I'm mostly here with the goal of making new start-class to B-class quality articles on topics of low importance in my areas of interest (history, nature, books, women). Sidelines include biographies of New Deal artists, now-demolished buildings where various American historical characters got into trouble, projects explicitly inspired by the success of Wikipedia (FromthePage.com, Online Biographical Dictionary of the Woman Suffrage Movement in the United States), and new stubs for California biota getting observations on iNaturalist but not currently represented on Wikipedia. Jump to articles created 2024 section to see what I've been doing lately. Jump to additional images section to see bug photos uploaded to Commons.
My Wikipedia character flaw is excessive use of primary sources and also blockquote. I love research and surfacing stories, people, and places that we don't have yet. I'm often inspired to write articles when sources on a given subject don't agree, which usually means there's a fuller, messier story there that could do with telling. Let me know if there's anything I can help you with. I'm here whenever I need a mental break from the dishes and laundry, which is...often!

Bold means that I think I did a good job or just that I just had a grand old time researching this topic. π± means it's a stub and you shouldn't expect much. Order within categories is usually (but not always) chronologically newest to oldest.
