Creators

There have been recent edits/re-edits about the listing of creators. In my opinion, the list or creator should be relegated to the creation of the Flash mythos as a whole, where as other editors feel the creators should be utilized for individual characters who have carried the mantle of the Flash. Characters such as Batman (who has had 2 other characters in universe also carry the mantle) and Captain Marvel (who's shared the title with 2 other characters as well) have on ly the initial creators on the template, both of these are featured articles. In addtion, my concern is that this will be soon over utilized, and writers and artist will begin to be added haphazardly, without stronger precidence. My vote is for uniformity and the exclusive inclusion of Fox and Lambert. 66.109.248.114 20:54, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Besides the fact that a FA has nothing to do with the template, the other batmans were only batmans for a very short time, and were not created as such. As for CM, unless your're talking about captains marvels from other publishers, I don't remember any others, there was the Marvel Family but no other DC captain marvel (to my knowlage). There have been four, seperate flashes, each created at different times and for different reasons, It can even be looked at that the creation of barry started a whole new flash mythos that died at the cancellation of Garrick. The flash mythos is a lot different now than it was in the 1940's and 60's. So I will revert you if you change the template again. Rhino131 00:50, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I think FA are completely relevant. Without a model or exemplar, the navboxes lack consistency and consequently an encylopediac quality. If time is a qualifier for legitimacy of a superhero mantle, Waid and Wieringo should be removed because Bart was not the Flash for the long. The article itself list "Flash, first appearance Flash Comics#1. Creators: Fox and Lambert. I would disagree that a reimagining of a character merits carries the same historical weight as the original, (should be include Stan Lee's Flash?) This a good debate though, pointing to the need for certain standards in Navbox's. We should continue it here. 66.109.248.114 21:22, 3 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Rogues

To 66.109.248.114, in case you did not get this on your talk page- Because not all of them were on the template. The silver age ones were on the template because they were major villains, but many of the new ones were not since they were minor compared to the other ones. People like Tar Pit (comics) were not there. Also, the rogues were more like a separate category, and deserved inclusion on the template whether or not all characters listed as rogues were on the template. I was not reverting you for no reason, I did have a rational. I hope you get this message. Rhino131 (talk) 00:49, 15 January 2008 (UTC)

Reverse Flash

I seperated a category list for the Reverse Flashes like the Rogues if you don't like it you can always change it back to what it was. Thank you! Captain Virtue (talk)

rollback

For some reason I was rollbacked. Though the reason wasn’t clear. I am sure they had good intentions. It maybe seemed he thought I removed some characters. I did remove Riddler. That’s because he is primary a Batman villain. Also Big Sir was removed because he is minor and probably should be merged. Another were the piped characters. Navboxes aren’t used for that. My changes aren’t too different though. I just wanted to establish Golden Age villains as a different thing all together. Also the Silver Age villains are mostly the primary characters. With exception of Hunter Zolomon, archenemy of Wally West. I added some too. Like Black Flash and Thorn. Overall I am willing to listen as to why (more clearly) the editor didn’t like the changes compared to the old one. There might be s legitimate reason. I just don’t want to end up with a edit war.Jhenderson 777 16:20, 24 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
