The sources are contradictory on when Marianne Williamson attended Pomona. The Scripps Voice says 1971–1973 based on a campus visit, National Review says 1973, and LA Mag and People talk about a move to NYC in 1973, but ABC News and The Student Life say 1970–1972. It seems that an incorrect date likely entered the information ecosystem at some point and has spread, but it's hard to tell which one. <span style="color:#AAA"><small>&#123;{u&#124;</small><span style="border-radius:9em;padding:0 5px;background:#088"><span style="color:#FFF">Sdkb</span></span><small>}&#125;</small></span> talk 20:29, 27 August 2020 (UTC)

Dashes after name and before description

Hello, HandsomeFella.

I see that you have changed the dashes in the "Film and Television" section of the article. This change does look good, except now it's inconsistent with the rest of the page. Can we agree on it being one way or another?

Thanks, Gummygoodness (talk) 06:14, 8 May 2013 (UTC)

Note on removals

I just checked the removals from earlier today to see if I could find sources to establish notability. I couldn't find two for any of them, but I found one for two of them, so plopping those here for use by anyone who wants to attempt in the future:

Just did a fairly comprehensive run

I just went through the 269 results from this PetScan query and added the alumni category to 95 pages, the faculty category to 49 pages (two too many), and the trustee category to three pages. The query can be run again in the future, starting from articles with a page ID greater than 64596355. I also ran a similar query a while back that addressed pages that were categorized but didn't link to Pomona anywhere in the body.

My subjective impression is that not all of the people who I added are notable enough to be worth listing at List of Pomona College people, so it may be necessary to start being a little more stringent with the standards for this page. Sdkbtalk 23:43, 16 August 2020 (UTC)

After some more sleuthing on this, she graduated from high school in 1970 per Houston Chronicle and there's no record of a gap year, so 1970–1972 seems more plausible. Sdkbtalk 06:40, 28 November 2021 (UTC)
