The M41 is a metropolitan route in the eThekwini Metropolitan Municipality, South Africa linking uMhlanga to Mount Edgecombe and Phoenix, north of the city of Durban.

Route

The M41 begins at the M4 (Leo Boyd Highway) Interchange in uMhlanga Rocks as a double-carriageway freeway (and for the entirety of its route) with motorists on the M41 only restricted to exit southbound on the M4 towards Durban. The M41 begins by climbing the ridge of uMhlanga in a northerly direction, bordering the northern edge of La Lucia and separating the business estates of Ridgeside and La Lucia Ridge, where it meets the Ridgeside Drive off-ramp.[1]

As the M41 reaches the top of the ridge, it heads north-west to meet the M12 uMhlanga Rocks Drive off-ramp and separates the suburbs of uMhlanga Ridge and La Lucia Ridge. It proceeds to meet the Millenium Way off-ramp and thereafter it meets the N2 highway at the Mount Edgecombe Interchange.[1]

After the N2, the M41 proceeds north-west, separating Mount Edgecombe to the south and Cornubia to the north where it meets the Flanders Drive off-ramp. About a kilometre after Flanders Drive, the M41 ends at an interchange with the R102 between Mt Edgecombe and Phoenix.[1]
