Kulwant Singh Bazigar is an Indian politician and the MLA representing the Shutrana Assembly constituency in the Punjab Legislative Assembly. He is a member of the Aam Aadmi Party.[1][2] He was elected as the MLA in the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election.[3]

Political career

Bazigar represents the Shutrana Assembly constituency since 2022 after winning the election.

In the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election he contested from Shutrana as a member of the Aam Aadmi Party and defeated Shiromani Akali Dal's candidate and the former MLA from the constituency, Vaninder Kaur Loomba by a large margin of 51,554 votes.[4]

Member of Legislative Assembly

He represents the Shutrana Assembly constituency as MLA in Punjab Assembly. The Aam Aadmi Party gained a strong 79% majority in the sixteenth Punjab Legislative Assembly by winning 92 out of 117 seats in the 2022 Punjab Legislative Assembly election. MP Bhagwant Mann was sworn in as Chief Minister on 16 March 2022.[5]
