Summary

Description
English: River Wey Navigation: Bowers Lock Bowers Lock dates from 1653, and was completed some 18 years after construction of the canal commenced, to the designs and supervision of Sir Richard Weston. The Navigation makes a ninety degree turn to the right just beyond the lock gates. The E2 European Long Distance Footpath, which runs from Galway to France's Mediterranean coast, crosses the Navigation by the footbridge at the downstream lock gates.
