The Commander-in-Chief of the Russian Air Force (Russian: Главнокомандующий ВВС, romanizedGlavnokomanduyushchiy VVS) is the chief commanding authority of the Russian Air Force. He is appointed by the President of Russia. The position dates to the Russian Revolution in 1917.
