Anna Thammudu (transl. Elder Brother and Younger Brother) is a 1958 Telugu-language drama film, produced by Kadaru Venkateswara Rao under the Sri Raja Rajeswari Film Company banner[2] and directed by C. S. Rao.[3] It stars N. T. Rama Rao, Jaggayya, Sowcar Janaki and music composed by Ashwatthama.

Plot

The film begins with a wealthy Madhav Rao, who lives with his pregnant wife Shantamma and son Ravi. Plus, he has excelled with his debauchery sibling, Nageswara Rao. Anyhow, he backs when Madhav Rao is ailing, sneakily slaughters him, and usurps the property. Moreover, he ploys to slay Ravi when Shantamma absconds and faints being spent when a thief lifts Ravi and is secured by a couple. After bestirring, Shantamma is forlorn as Ravi is misled when a church father, Joseph, guards her where she delivers the second Rajendra. Ranganna, a stanch of Madhav Rao, is in quest of his lords and detects Ravi at his sister's residence. Meanwhile, Nageswara Rao senses Shantamma's existence and wiles to wipe out her when she is unexpectedly incriminated as homicide and is sentenced. Now, Father joins Rajendra in Madras boarding school.

Years pass, Ranganna raises Ravi with his niece Padma, and Rajendra becomes a solicitor. Nageswara Rao also resides in Madras with his girlfriend, Vajram. After acquitting, Shantamma too lands therein, and being unbeknownst, Rajendra shelters her as his mother. Rajendra loves Rani, the daughter of Nageswara Rao's clerk, Purushottama Rao. Here, Nageswara Rao lusts Rani crafts to splice her, which Purushottama Rao confronts and knits her with Rajendra. Besides, Nageswara Rao snares Padma tries to molest her, and she commits suicide. Before leaving the breath, she divulges the fact to Ravi, who onslaughts on Nageswara Rao. At the same time, Vajram clashes with Nageswara Rao for his barbarity. So, he slays her and incriminates Ravi, but he flees. Besides, Father Joseph arrives, recognizes Shantamma, and unites Rajendra with his mother. Rani is also slyly clutched by Nageswara Rao when Ravi shields her and knocks out the blackguard. Ravi is produced before the judiciary, and Rajendra is the judge. At that point, Shantamma & Rajendra are aware of Ravi via Ranganna. Despite this, Rajendra stands for piety and declares life to Ravi. Finally, the movie ends with Ravi proceeding to jail, appreciating Rajendra.
